Elite Mortgage Capital LLC is a mortgage lending firm whose mission is to secure funding for mortgage applicants who are interested in purchasing a new home, or in refinancing their current residence. They are also an Equal Housing Opportunity company with high ethical standards “believe(ing that) all consumers interested in mortgage financing should be assisted by responsible professionals with a complete understanding of the mortgage business, without discrimination.” The current EMC website has been redesigned by a commercial web company as it has grown and needed other features. It can be seen online at the same URL: www.elitemortgagecapital.com.
The screenshots below show the original website that I set up for the company when it first went into business.
The objective was to create a new logo and a six-page website for the company that outlined what they offered in the way of mortgage products and services; provide company background information and biographies on their principals; and include other informational pages with additional resources for consumers interested in the mortgage lending process. Theses resources included a page of online calculators to help consumers determine what their mortgage rate should be, how to refinance, and calculations such as ‘how much house they could afford’, as well as a glossary of mortgage financial terms, utilizing some online calculator widgets. Another page had an active stock ticker with links to various indices and charts that provided further financial indications about market fluctuations and how they might affect mortgage rates; as well as regular links to other financial sties. The company recognizes that the current economy is a difficult one for people seeking to purchase a new home or to refinance their existing home, and gives additional tips on how to apply for things like credit reports and avoid other pitfalls and problems.
The
color palette chosen for this website was a combination of a warm olive green, with a soft gray-green accent, as well as a beige background page color, with dark brown text. The header was simple and included a house image on the right, with the logo which is pictured above, to the left.
The navigation was a CSS-based navigation with both a top and side-bar that had text with a rollover image using the same color scheme, as is captured below in the screenshots.
